Hello and welcome!
My name is Mato Brown, and I’m honored you’re here. Originally from Chicago, IL, I’m a proud girl dad to a soon-to-be 15-year-old high school sophomore. My journey of service began in the United States Marine Corps, followed by 15 more years in the United States Army, where I retired after a deeply rewarding career.
After transitioning from military life, I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2014. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to supporting others through various roles in the helping professions. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA), a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCAS-A), and a licensed School Social Worker in North Carolina.
My approach to therapy is grounded in respect, empathy, and collaboration. I believe that families thrive when every member feels heard, supported, and empowered. There’s no one-size-fits-all solution in therapy, and I view each client as the expert of their own experience. My role is to walk alongside you—helping you identify strengths, navigate challenges, and foster connection.
I’m passionate about supporting individuals and families as they face the complex challenges of today’s world. Whether you’re navigating stress, life transitions, communication barriers, or healing from past wounds, I’m here to help.
I look forward to the opportunity to work together and to building a meaningful therapeutic relationship with you and your family.
