Inner Pathways was established in 2014 after a relocation from Elizabeth City. I earned a Master of Art degree in counseling from Webster University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Fayetteville State University. I am currently licensed in North Carolina and in the Commonwealth of Virginia. For the past 15 years I have worked in mental health services in case management, crisis intervention, behavior modification, parenting and may other programs. In my privet practice, I operate from a philosophy that emphasizes meaning in one’s life through responsible decisions, compassion and grace towards others and oneself. The therapeutic process is the pathway for guidance and healing. My approach is diverse and tailor to the unique needs one brings to the therapy room. I pay detailed attention to culture diversity and place of origin in order to meet the person where they are. My training and experience are in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Emotionally Focus Therapy, Eye movement desensitization Reprocess (EMDR), Sand Play therapy and other well documented as effective methods of therapeutic treatment. I feel blessed and thankful that I am able to serve, challenge and encourage you in your path.
