I am a Latina Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-A), holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the Pontifical Catholic University.
As a Latina, I recognize the need for and importance of being able to express my thoughts, concerns, and feelings in my native language, to be understood. Being able to trust someone and feel safe with them is essential to amplifying expression. That’s why it’s essential to find a therapist who is a good fit for you. In my practice, I offer traditional talk therapy completely in Spanish. I have a style open, eclectic therapeutic style, with approaches based on strengths, self-compassion, and self-acceptance, implementing multiple models such as Mindfulness techniques, ACT, and CBT. I work primarily from an empowerment-based perspective that honors our continued growth and resilience.
I specialize in working with trauma survivors and people facing challenges related to self-esteem, depression, anxiety, emotion management, family conflicts, and interpersonal difficulties.
My goal is to help my clients envision the life they deserve and embrace a more authentic and empowered version of themselves. You are the key to success and the internal motivation to achieve your goals, both in a session and outside the process. I appreciate comments so that you can be an integral part of this entire therapeutic relationship. I understand that the person who knows you best is you. If this sounds like a good fit for you, please feel free to contact me via email to schedule an intake appointment. It will be a pleasure to help you in your process.
