I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Webster University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Human Services & Family Policy from the University of Delaware. I am a bilingual Marriage and Family Therapist Associate and have over 10 years of experience in providing mental health services to children and families in community-based settings. I am additionally trained and certified in providing Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT). I have enjoyed working with individuals, couples, families and adolescents through my career and strive to improve the human condition.
I believe that relationships shape who we are and impact our behavior. When these relationships become challenging many areas of our lives are affected including school, home, work and individual wellbeing. I strive to create a safe therapeutic space where we can authentically explore those avenues and roadblocks so that each person can have a new experience of themselves and those around them.
Sessions are tailored to the individual, couple, or family’s needs and might focus on alternative communication styles, past behavior patterns, genuinely understanding and expressing emotion, and fostering compassion and empathy.
